The 4th Conference on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and FinTech Ended Successfully

On October 23rd, 2021, the 4th Conference on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and FinTech hosted by the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University was held in Guangzhou, and it was broadcast live on the Tencent Meeting. Professor Meng Qingbin from the Finance Department of Renmin Business School, gave a keynote speech on the theme of "A-share Market Factors Zoo: Who Determines the Cross-sectional Stock Returns? - Based on the Empirical Evidence for Dual Selection LASSO". Professor Yu Honghai from the School of Management & Engineering, Nanjing University, gave a keynote speech on the theme of "Audit Inquiry and IPO Information Disclosure under the Registration-based IPO System - Based on the Text Analysis on LDA Topic Model". Professor Chen Yugang from the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University, gave a keynote speech on the theme of "The Formation of Belief Bias: The Impact of Media's Innovative Narrative on M&A's Performance". Professor Li Bin from the Finance Department of Economics and Management School of Wuhan University, gave a keynote speech on the theme of "Real-time Prediction of Stock Returns Based on Machine Learning". Professor Xiong Xiong from the College of Management and Economics of Tianjin University, introduced the Journal of Management Sciences in China.

On the afternoon of October 23rd, the conference papers were reported in groups. Scholars from Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Nankai University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and other universities gave reports, comments and had discussions on themed papers. The discussion was informative and wonderful. The brainstorm of the conference has inspired many innovative ideas, which will have an important impact on the future development of FinTech.
