The "Living Case" Course of EMBA of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University Was Successfully Held -- the Mobile Classroom of "Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics"

 

To honor commitment and take practical actions, and make the best of what we have learned, from May 26th to 29th, 2022, the EMBA "Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Ethics" "living case" course of the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University was successfully held in Sogal Group and Pearl River Piano Group.

 

On the morning of May 26th, Professor Liu Jingyan gave a course introduction. She believed that it was a valuable learning opportunity and an immersive classroom that broke the boundaries of classes and grades, and brought faculties and students into close contact with university-enterprises. Professor Xie Kang introduced the original intention of the EMBA classroom for "living case" teaching, and encouraged the students to take this opportunity to conduct in-depth communication with enterprises.

Wang Bing - President of Sogal Group, with the theme of "Strategic Planning of Sogal Home Collection", introduced the digital transformation strategy and process of the group in detail.

On the afternoon of May 26th and 27th, Professor Liu Eping, Professor Chen Honghui, Professor Xiao Jinghua, and Professor Yin Juelin conducted courses respectively in the 47th, 48th Class A, and 48th Class B of EMBA to study and discuss the topics of financial statement analysis, business ethics decision-making, digital transformation and innovation, corporate social responsibility and value creation.

 

On the morning of May 28th, faculties and students visited the Sogal unmanned factory and the Sogal product showroom, and conducted a traceability investigation on the whole process from raw materials to finished products.

On the afternoon of May 28th, faculties and students visited the Pearl River Piano National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base. Chairman Li Jianning and General Manager Li Fulong shared the development and marketing measures of Pearl River Piano Group.

On the morning of May 29th, the students returned to the classroom again. Professor Xiao Jinghua, Professor Chen Honghui, and Professor Yin Juelin carried out "living case" analysis respectively on the topics of digital transformation, business ethics and social responsibility, and organized students to actively participate in the discussion. .

In the four-day course, the theoretical explanation and enterprise practice were intertwined and closely integrated. Through teaching and in-depth discussion on the topics of strategic transformation, digital transformation, intelligent manufacturing, social responsibility and business ethics of Sogal Group and Pearl River Piano Group, and through close inspection and experience, multi-dimensional thinking and analysis of the two "living case" enterprises, the students not only had personal experience of intelligent manufacturing and digitalization, but also had more thinking and insights about corporate social responsibility and business ethics.
